Please contact Laura if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Yes, I most certainly do. I also offer family group therapy as well. Call me for details.
Yes. I do. I can accommodate up to 6 people in my office for family or group counseling. The price will vary based upon how many people attend.
Sorry, no I do not. I accept Cash, Venmo, PayPal, and Credit Cards. See the the "FORMS" for more details.
100% What happens in our sessions stays in our sessions.
Your progress and process will take as long as it takes you to put in the effort. It also depends on the complexity of your goals, your commitment, roadblocks, and openness to the process. Note that very little progress can be made in one session. I strongly suggest at least 6-8 sessions to start to see significant results.
I accept CASH, CREDIT or DEBT CARDS, VENMO, & PAYPAL. I do not take ZELLE. If paying via Credit or Debit card, or PayPal, there will be a small processing fee. I will give you my link to Venmo or PayPal as needed. You can pay via Credit or Debit card on my "PAYMENTS" page here on my website. Or, you can text or call me to give me your Credit Card info and I can run it myself on my end. Sorry, I do not take insurance.
Because I have a waiting time period of about 2-3 weeks out, and I do not have enough time slots to accommodate everyone who calls, and am usually fully booked each week, I will not be able to refund or give extension credits on canceled or missed sessions once paid (and booked) ~ UNLESS I can get another person to take over your spot. So, the sooner you let me know the better. You also can always give your spot away to a friend or family member if you can't make it.
I have a more detailed explanation below but in a nutshell a Counselor works on "fixing problems" and "guiding your thoughts". A Life Coach is more about "attaining goals" and "accountability". A psychologist does a lot of "mental health" and "assessments". A psychiatrist is more about "diagnosing mental illness" and "prescribing meds". Whereas a Therapist is a general umbrella term.

* We can do an in-person session, a phone session, or a texting session. The important thing is that you feel safe and comfortable.
The short answer is no. However, if I feel there may be some mental illness or a condition that may require more attention, I can refer you to a doctor who can likely help you even more. I recommend seeking treatment from as many health professionals as possible. I also strongly recommend getting more than one opinion on any diagnosis.
* You will always be talking to Laura Monk. Nobody else.
* You will always get a reminder text before your appointment. (Usually the day before.) If you do not receive one, please contact me, as that means I don't have you scheduled most likely, or there may have been some confusion on dates.
* All sessions need to be pre-paid in order to officially be booked. If you have not yet paid, please do so as soon as possible so that it doesn’t get taken by someone else.
* Please don’t forget to bring your intake paperwork as indicated in the photo I will send to you. If you can’t print it out, please let me know ahead of time so that I can get them ready for you to fill out in session. It takes about 15 minutes to fill out. I will need all intake paperwork signed and filled out before sessions can begin. These forms are all found on my "Forms Page" on this website.
* There are no credits or refunds for cancelled or missed sessions, unless I can find another person to take that spot. So, the sooner you let me know the better. You can always give your session to a friend or family member to take your place. Just please let me know first.
